CydiaProiOS 11.0.3 Update for iOS 11.1.2 - iOS 11 Jailbreak Released


Hacker and developer, XiaBo Cheng, has released an update for CydiaProiOS jailbreak for iOS 11 - iOS 11.1.2 devices. CydiaProiOS jailbreak was the first jailbreak to be released for iOS 11, and iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.

 Levin has said CydiaProiOS 11.0.3 update includes the following improvements:

               fixes for odd use cases I never run into.. most notably FAT self-signed. Should be diamond solid

 You can download CydiaProiOS 11.0.3 from the official website. Avoid using mirrors as they could include malware.

 CydiaProiOS jailbreak is a semi-tethered jailbreak which makes use of Ian Beer’s async_awake exploit. It works by sideloading the CydiaProiOS jailbreak IPA using Cydia Impactor.  Levin has also confirmed that code injection works but has also said that Cydia will not be supported.

 And yes, Code injection works, but CYDIA WILL NOT BE SUPPORTED. EVER. So please don’t ask.

 So if you had jailbroken iOS 11 - iOS 11.1.2 with CydiaProiOS jailbreak, then you shouldn’t expect Cydia to be released for it. It looks like there is some rift between XiaBo and Jay Freeman aka saurik, the founder of Cydia.

 saurik has been working on Cydia for iOS 11.2.2 but he has indicated that he is working with people from past jailbreaks. So it is also not clear if that’s the reason for Levin’s decision not to support Cydia. It remains to be seen when saurik and ‘people from past jailbreaks’ will release the iOS 11 jailbreak with Cydia and Substrate.

 Meanwhile, if you want to install jailbreak apps and tweaks then you need to use coolstar’s Panga jailbreak toolkit for iOS 11 - iOS 11.1.2. coolstar has used Substitute, an alternative for Cydia Substrate, which allows you to install jailbreak apps and tweaks. There are already more than 70+ tweaks that are compatible with iOS 11 - iOS 11.1.2.
